About the author

Frenesa Hall, MD

Physician, wellness advocate, and lifelong student of the connection between mind and body.

A Harvard University graduate with a degree in Biology and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina, she brings more than thirty years of clinical experience in internal medicine to everything she writes and teaches.

Health from the inside out

Throughout her career, Frenesa has worked at the meeting point of conventional medicine and integrative wellness, helping patients and clients see that true health begins from the inside out. That conviction is the foundation of Brain Boss Books. Having served on the Health Literacy Advisory Committee for the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, she hopes her books can do more than teach reading. For an adult who is learning to read, a Brain Boss book can build literacy and, at the same time, offer an invaluable tool for life, one they can carry for themselves and share with their children.

How Brain Boss began

The Brain Boss series grew out of Emmet Fox's classic, The 7 Day Mental Diet, a small book that has shaped thinkers, healers, and leaders for generations, and one that has deeply impacted Frenesa's own life. She still returns to it often, reading or listening and applying its principles day to day. She adapted its timeless message into age-appropriate guides that help young readers cultivate self-awareness and self-mastery, bringing this wisdom to the readers who need it most.

She writes because every young person deserves the tools that help the mind work for them, not against them.

Beyond the books

Beyond her writing, Frenesa is the founder of MD Wellness Soulutions, an integrative wellness practice, and Unrivaled Health Vaults, a health technology company devoted to putting personal health information in the hands of the individuals it belongs to. She also co-facilitates the ROAR Conference, a transformational event for women stepping into their most authentic selves.

Away from the desk

When she is not writing or seeing clients, you might find Frenesa playing bass in her cover band, cheering on her favorite women’s basketball team, or building her latest venture, Unrivaled Health Vaults.

The same curiosity that drives her medicine shows up everywhere else: a belief that we all do better when we understand ourselves a little more clearly.
